Super Aguri - end of an era?

Bahrain 2008: Super Aguri's last ride?

The Super Aguri team is facing a last-minute pullout by a key sponsor, and may or may not be packing it up as you read this - some have tipped Bernie to be next in line to help save the team - and there's nothing like smoke from a fire sale to bring the bidders coming. It's the end of the line for 'customer chassis', so whomever steps forward to save the day had better have deep pockets - there's plenty of investment to be made if this team is to keep moving forward without more support from Honda.

Bahrain to Spain - can Massa keep up the success?

Felipe Massa has made some strides to get back on form lately, and locals are gearing up to see how he handles a Spanish Inquisition ready to see him trade teams with Fernando. In other news, Mad Max won't be in the paddock (again) as news of a general FIA assembly in June has got him doing some serious outreach to his constituents these days - or maybe he's just more interested in Jordan's inaugural race for the WRC? Well, whatever it is, it's definitely going around, because I could swear I heard him mentioned on the Daily Show recently.

Webber snakes through the desert

Webber winds his way through - and Cahier's the man with the pan . . .

Thanks again to all for getting this season off to such a great start, and we look forward to seeing you out for the race from Spain - just to remind you - we will be holding our F1 raffle featuring a few of the photos above from the Bahrain GP courtesy of F1-photo.com and Griffin Motorwerke. A GP breakfast will be served, so please RSVP to help in planning for these morning events. Thank you!

As always, all are welcome, and if you have guests with you, please indicate the number with your RSVP. Thanks again, and we look forward to seeing you out at the races!

After our racing and raffle at Overtime, we invite you to join a group heading uptown to see a showing of important cars on display at the Fairmont Hotel - the organizers of the 18th running of the California Mille rally have put together a free car show for the public until 5pm featuring this year's Mille car entries plus 60 classical luxury cars. See their 2007 entry list (pdf) for a taste of what's on offer . . . and as always - we'll see you at the races!
