An ". . . open wheel shotgun wedding . . ."

Robin Miller tells it (again) like it is. Here's hoping Champ Car doesn't owe you some duckets as CCWS looks to go BK should Tony, Kev, and Gerry get something inked before the season starts. The latter has been sourced as the long pole in the tent . . .

As far as the races go, the DP01 chassis from the past season will be looking for a spot in a museum near you.

Meanwhile, the IRL's Dallara chassis are really cumbersome on road courses (tubs are made to handle high speed ovals at 200+ mph), so there's not a lot of nimble handling on the twisties.

Still, a united series in open wheel racing based in the US is better than watching teams lose talent to stock car racing and a pair of half baked series barely manage to fill the grids.

Just keep the standing starts, please!
